Fill A Shell Fund A Home Raises Over $30,000 — A Huge Step Toward Preserving Families Home
September 19, 2025
Thank you, Desert Foothills Community and Scully Learning Center family and friends. Fill A Shell Fund A Home was a GREAT success! With 100 tickets sold and a little more than 30K raised we took another giant step forward in making Preserving Families Home a reality.
Fill A Shell Fund A Home united community leaders, community members, family members, community service agencies, and local area businesses both within Desert Foothills Community and across the state successfully raising funds raised for, Preserving Families Home, Scully Learning Center’s solution to prevent homelessness of current intellectually and developmentally disabled adults living with elderly parents/guardians facing potential homelessness when family is no longer able to care for them.
More importantly, new Scully Learning Center friends and supporters were made and significant fun was had by all. Entertainment, provided by Ray Tigerman and NGR Music Group had the crowd singing along to familiar top hit songs including Scully Learning Center’s song, Heroes From Above. A GREAT time was had by all patrons who left the event expressing their excitement for upcoming events including, Gabe’s World, a sensory dining experience for the blind.
Finally, our next fundraising endeavor, the sale of our hand-crafted greeting cards was launched. Our greeting cards are perfect for birthdays, holidays, thank-yous, or just sending a heartfelt note. Greeting cards can be purchased from our website, $30.00 for 12 cards. Purchasing our greeting cards enables our supporters and community to be part of a movement that values creativity, supports local arts and uplifts lives right here in the Desert Foothills Community. Proceeds go directly towards the creation of Preserving Families Home.
We cannot express our gratitude for Stumblina’s Cantina, Ray Tigerman, Arizona businesses that contributed to our silent auction, matching ticket sales and table sponsor donors, volunteers including Cave Creek School District’s Key Club and National Honor Society members, and attendees who made Fill A Shell Fund A Home a success and great fun enough. Please accept our sincere thanks for your donations, spirit, time, energy and attention to detail. We are truly blessed to be a part of, and supported by such an amazing community.
Warmest Regards,
Paula Scully Founder & CEO
