Scully Learning Center Foundation Releases “Heroes From Above For Angelenos” to Support Homelessness Relief After LA Fires
January 17, 2025
Scully Learning Center Foundation is proud to announce the release of “Heroes From Above For Angelenos,” a heartfelt adaptation of its original song, Heroes From Above. This community-driven project aims to raise awareness and funds to address homelessness, focusing on populations impacted by the recent devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
Heroes From Above was initially created to inspire action and support solutions for the national homelessness crisis, particularly among vulnerable groups such as intellectually and developmentally disabled adults, Veterans, children, and seniors. The song’s powerful lyrics and corresponding video evoke a sense of empathy, compelling listeners to take steps toward meaningful change. Proceeds from song sales have been allocated to Scully Learning Center Foundation’s campaign for the Preserving Families Home initiative and other legitimate 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to ending homelessness.
With the emergence of new homeless populations following the LA wildfires, “Heroes From Above For Angelenos” replaces the original song’s first verse to reflect the current crisis. This adaptation brings immediate relevance to the urgent need for housing and support for fire-affected Angelenos. Proceeds from this version will directly aid families and individuals displaced by the fires, helping them rebuild and avoid homelessness.
“As the saying goes, ‘It takes a village,’ and this sentiment is at the heart of Heroes From Above and its new version for Angelenos,” Brady Dalton, a representative of Scully Learning Center Foundation. “We hope the song reaches communities far and wide, sparks collaboration, and garners the attention of popular artists to amplify its impact. Together, we can bring hope and resources to those in need.”
The Scully Learning Center Foundation envisions Heroes From Above as a living project, open to further collaborations to expand its message. For instance, additional verses may be created to represent other underserved homeless populations, such as those experiencing mental illness. These updates ensure the song remains a dynamic and inclusive tool for fundraising and awareness.
